Andy's Pizza Kentlands: Reviews & Ratings
A must try. When I saw that Andy’s opened up in Montgomery County I was stoked! We visited this location on a Wednesday night, which was Wine Wednesday where they had a sample of wine. I also got two slices of pizza and Brussel sprouts. DELICIOUS! A very special shout out to Julian who made the experience exceptional. Julian is very hospitable and attentive. Everyone on staff is great!
I went got the grand opening. I try not to judge the service in my rating because it's usually chaotic, but I'll still share my experience at the bottom because it wasn't great. The pizza is the same delicious quality you find at other Andys pizza locations. I would wait until they have the kinks figured out before you order specials though, they weren't at good. I ended up getting pepperoni and the sausage pepperoni. My husband got the pepperoni special which wasn't the best, but they made it in a hurry, so we'll try again in a couple of months. This place is a great addition to the area and the inside had plenty of seating. It's going to be really great grabbing a pizza before going to see a movie. They also had two pizzas and a wine option which I think is perfect for a date. Grand opening experience: The line was out of the door which was expected, but it was mostly due to bottlenecks at the front which made it annoying. People ended leaving because there were times where the line didn't move for 15 minutes. After about 20 minutes we finally made it to the front and I was excited to be near the finish line. But then I was ignored for 15 minutes. It felt so long I decided to time it to make sure I got the actually time waiting right. I tried to get someone's attention but they just ignored me working on I think some online orders. Instead of one person doing an online order and one taking the line orders they had both people doing the online orders. Finally when I got my pizza I thought for sure this was it and I could finally pay and eat, but they put our pizza in someone else's pizza box. So then they had to take the pizza of someone else waiting and give it to us and that cycle continued for a while. I also saw people skip the line and claim the pizza coming out was there's bc there was no way to prove it wasn't :-/
Finally got to try Andys pizza today at the new Kentlands location. I waited until after the lunch rush as there was a line out of the door. I decided to try the 2 slice special, which was reasonable. I went with one slice of the sausage and green pepper and one slice of the carnivore. The sausage and green pepper had a perfectly cooked crust but was lacking a little sauce and overall flavor. I believe this is due to the pizza sitting out for a little bit and then being reheated I'm sure it is much better when it is a fresh pie. Now, regarding the carnivore, I enjoyed every single bite! It had the right amount of grease and the perfect combination of meat, sauce, and cheese. It was opening day and I know they had a lot going on but it was still good and I look forward to the 3-minute walk from my office to go try it again. They are a great addition to the area and I believe that once things calm down, it will be more consistent.
10/10. The pizza is a 10/10. The customer service was amazing! Get the margarita!! It’s a hit!! Aleena was super sweet as well. It was our first time here and she made our experience one to remember
Very excited this opened up near me. Very convenient to be able to just quickly get a few slices as opposed to a whole pizza. Great taste and quality, I think it was the same as the Tyson's location, where I had been to before. Very thin crust and crispy texture. Prices are reasonable. Recommend!
Delicious pizza!! Love their special pepperoni pizza!! The iced drinks are really good. Can't wait to go back!
I couldn’t be happier Andy’s finally made it to upper MOCO. I would not miss their grand opening today. The pizza is hot, crisp snd the best you can find outside of NYC. My personal favorite is the burrata Margherita pizza, the Burrata is fresh snd high quality. My husband got the carnivore and it was filled with high quality sausage and pepperoni. The staff are friendly and fast. Two slices of their classic and a drink for $10 is unheard of in this area. Two slices of speciality pizza and a drink is $12.50 and so worth it. I can’t wait to come back and get their wings as there are also some of the best around! This is a go to spot for anyone who wants quality food and friendly quick service! Congrats on a busy grand opening!
Went on a Friday afternoon , less than 10 days since launch. The restaurant is well decorated, very clean, spacious, organized and sport some screens for visitors to watch while waiting for their pizza. Great music selection too. They serve pizza by slices and whole pizzas too. A slice is about 5 dollars. It tasted good but it wasn’t extraordinary, unfortunately it was basic. I’d choose Costco pizza over theirs lol. Not only for the cost but for the taste. They do have wide selection of pizza. I had a margarita & caramelized onion ones. I wasn’t impressed nor satisfied . Some people liked it, based on the local feedback , it was good but not special. I was wondering what made it so special but I’ve been deceived. Also they only have one type of dough for all their pizza however I found the dough too thin for the price. They should have more selection for dough consistency. The former MOD pizza offered more options and sauces. I have yet to try their salad for which I have high hopes for. Overall it was ok. Dont go with high expectations, right now it’s just the hype. Maybe with lowered prices and happy hour they should stay afloat for a couple years.
